All things HVAC system installation
A common question that many people ask is how long the installation of a new HVAC system takes. The shortest answer to this question is that “It varies.”
There are many factors that come into play when it comes to the installation of a new HVAC system. Read this article to learn more about HVAC system installation and all things AC repair.
1. The Size of Your Home
The main factor that impacts how much time HVAC system installation takes is the size of your home. In general, the smaller your home, the less time the installation will take.
The reason for this is that small homes typically require smaller HVAC systems. On the other hand, you can expect a mansion to have a larger and more sophisticated HVAC system.
2. The Type of Job
The type of job being performed will also have a major impact on HVAC system installation. In general, there are two forms of installations for heating and air conditioning. These two types of installation are a full system replacement and a change out.
A change out is when the air conditioner or furnace is being replaced. However, none of the other equipment is being replaced. For example, if you replace the furnace but keep the same ductwork, this type of HVAC system installation is a change out.
As you can probably imagine, a full system replacement will take much longer than a change out. The reason is that the HVAC technicians will have to take the time to replace everything in the system, such as the thermostats and the ductwork.
Not only will having a full system replacement increase the installation time, but it will also increase the total installation cost.
