History of Cement
Hydraulic Cement is from the olden days of Greece and Rome. The stuff which was there was lime and some volcanic ash that has slowly become a problem by adding water to make it hard. These were made from Roman Mortars and concretes, which was two thousand years ago and with a lot of building work in Western Europe.
Portland cement is another name for Hydraulic lime that was done in 1756. It was called the Eddy stone lighthouse, which was outstation in the place called Plymouth, which was in England and France; hence, it was a material which was for burning tiny clayey limestones. Initially, it was available at a very low cost but with the time, like other goods, Cement price, (ราคา ปูน, which is the term in Thai) is also increased.
Raw materials used in Cement
There are some essential materials in which are used in Cement, which are: Calcium Oxide, Silex, Alumina ad iron oxide.
Here are the following Components:
Limestone: it is very loose, a very soft structure; hence, it is common for wet production. Chalk is a very soft material, but it will not need to be mixed.
There is another limestone named Marl Silex crushes it, which is out of clay, and also, it is just a starting for the earth. One thing about the Marl is much lower than the limestone because it is harder. There is one great raw material by using Cement.
Clay materials: It can be crushed in tiny pieces; it cannot be more than 2 microns.
