Meet Dr. Leela Patel

Leela Patel, MD, of Patel & Patel, M.D., Inc. is a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Patel is committed to offering high-quality care to persons of all ages and sexes.

Dr. Patel studied medicine at India’s Kasturba Medical College. After arriving in the US, she served at the Charleston Area Medical Center, which is affiliated with West Virginia University. There, she finished her family practice residency in 1996. In 1997, Dr. Patel was granted a license by the state of West Virginia. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Her career started in a remote area of Clay, WV, where she offered healthcare services. She later worked as a family practice practitioner at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV. Besides seeing patients at Patel & Patel, M.D., Inc., Dr. Leela currently works as the Clay County Health Department director.
